We believe in change
The world is a vast place inhabited by billions of people. It is easy to believe that one person cannot potentially change the world. When the weight of global crises feels too great for one individual to bear, we must remember that we do have the ability to make a difference, even if it begins on a small level.
Hence, we must try to accomplish at least one thing every day that puts us in the direction we wish to go. Grand gestures are nice, but it’s the tiny things, done day after day, layered on top of one other, that shape us—and, by extension, someone else. Therefore, we don’t have to achieve world peace to make a difference in someone’s life. Even if it doesn’t appear so at first, simple gestures of kindness and good deeds can go a long way in brightening someone’s day. The most basic ways to help are to be emotionally supportive and to donate money to those in need.
Finally, we ought to adopt an outward gaze. We live in a rather materialistic society. Many of us are encouraged from a young age to do what will make us the most successful; this might lead us to do a lot of things that are simply for our own benefit. It’s time to shift our perspective and begin thinking in ways that direct our attention away from oneself. Discover what it’s like to prioritize the needs of others before your own; you will not be disappointed. In Short, Mother Teresa said: “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
“Life isn’t about money, it’s about moments.”
“No one has ever become poor by giving.”
“You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving.”
“Life’s persistent and most urgent question is: What are you doing for others?”
The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.
“We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.”
Non-discrimination
We believe in the equal value of every human being and the importance of respecting and honoring each individual; regardless of his race, creed, origin or gender.
Integrity
We believe in integrity and accountability when conducting all our temporary and permanent projects. Corruption, conflict of interests and fraud are not tolerated. Wherever we operate, we commit to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Transparency
We believe that our duty of custodianship and that the trust that people place in us requires transparency with each other, donors, partners and the people we serve. We are responsible stewards of the funds entrusted to us, and strive to eliminate unnecessary expenses.
Volunteering
We promote volunteering as we believe in altruism and selfless actions. By promoting volunteering, especially within the youth, we participate in building communities that care for the most vulnerable, and who find their happiness working for the well-being of others.
